Crispy Cheesy Roll Ups (Printable)

# What You'll Need:

01 - 8 slices white or whole wheat sandwich bread, crusts removed

02 - 8 sticks mozzarella cheese (or cheddar, about 1 oz each)

→ Egg Wash

03 - 2 large eggs
04 - 2 tbsp milk

→ Breadcrumb Coating

05 - 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
06 - 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
07 - 1 tsp garlic powder
08 - 1/2 tsp dried oregano
09 - 1/4 tsp black pepper
10 - 1/4 tsp salt

→ Frying

11 - 1/3 cup vegetable oil

# Directions:

01 - Using a rolling pin, gently flatten each slice of bread until thin and pliable.
02 - Place a cheese stick at one end of each bread slice and roll up tightly to seal.
03 - In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until well combined.
04 - In another shallow bowl, combine panko, Parmesan, garlic powder, oregano, pepper, and salt.
05 - Dip each roll up first in the egg mixture, then coat thoroughly with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
06 - Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
07 - Fry the roll ups in batches, turning until all sides are golden brown and crispy, about 2–3 minutes per batch.
08 - Drain on paper towels and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
